Possibilities Tri

Hi Ladies, I'm by far no Ironwomen but love doing sprints right now. Today was my first time back in 5-6 years doing tris. I took first place in my age group and was so shocked and happy!! Just wanted to share. Hope to see you ladies in June.

Hi Sue! I hear good things about that event! I've been asked by a number of other peeps who is doing it...and if we'll be out there. so cool.
I think it's a great early season warm up...
and a great way to get the girls out doing something together.

Hi Sue!

Yep, just ordering some tomorrow...would you like one?
If so, tell me your size and how many you would like...

Then go ahead and go to Paypal, click "Send Money" and type in tanyagm@sbcglobal.net to mail payment to the GOTRIbal account.
The total is: $18 + $5 shipping/handling. = $23
Please tell me your shipping address!

Thanks girl!

Hey Sue...It looks like you may have forgotten to upload action shots of you doing tris, running events, or just lounging on your couch (watching a tri event, we’re sure!)…. Part of the fun of connecting with each other is seeing you! We want to create meaningful, intimate relationships with our TRIbal members, and although a photo won’t do much, it’s a start. It gets us EXCITED and we feel compelled to write you a note about your photo shots!

We’ve then started the conversation – essentially YOU have started it by sharing your photo with us!

If you need help, here are a few tips to upload your photo:

1. Click on the Gallery tab at the top of your page.

2. Click on the +Add Photos. You can add your pictures one at a time or...

3. Click on the “Try the bulk photo uploader”

If you need more instructions than that, please let me know and I will walk you through the process.

WELCOME to our global TRIbe Sue! So wonderful to see you here with us.
Please reach out if you need to -- and also consider joining a local California TRIbe! Would love it if you had a TRIbe to play, train, talk with whenever you need to.

Watch out for announcements on our growth -- big things to come!
Onward and upward!

Hi Sue, and WELCOME to our GLOBAL Tribe! It’s wonderful to meet you.

I’m Bobbie, and as the Member Liaison for GOTRIbal, I have the distinct pleasure of helping members connect with others in their local TRIbes, the GLOBAL Tribe, or just learn how to get the most out of your experience as a TRIbal member. Please remember, you can join your local TRIbe as well (Use the “Tribes” tab on the site to find one near you), or start your own if you don’t see your area represented!

Although I’d been athletic all my life (gymnast and springboard diver) my introduction to triathlon came after a traumatic injury which ended most all of my physical activity. Fast forward, and after a gastric bypass surgery I found myself urged on by my daughter, who is also a member of the TRIbe and an active triathlete, to try triathlon. Now at 51, I have six triathlons under my belt, and I’m addicted! I love the sport and I love witnessing what it does for the women beyond their focus in training. And THAT is the power and influence of this sport – and our TRIbe!

Please reach out to me to share any thoughts you have for how I can make this experience a valuable and fun one!

Again…Welcome!

Bobbie

47 y.o Newbie, Year In Review

Well, I can’t believe I did it – wow. Ok. Let me have my Miss America/Grammy/Emmy/Etc… moment: “I would like to thank, God, Sara Landholt and her Ironmakeover blog which led me to Tanya and a super-fantastic organization, GoTRIbal”.

– It seems like just a short time ago that I stumbled across Sara’s page which had a link to the GoTRIbal site. For all of those women out there where triathlon is second nature, I want to tell it from the mountain – that GoTRIbal has been an inspiration to me – I l… Continue

Toni

Woohoo - I am now Half an Ironman!

Eighteen weeks of solid training is now behind me and I have now completed my first half ironman - and boy does it feel good! My goal, and that of my girlfriend Leigh, was simply to finish and to finish within the course time limit of 7 hours. 18 weeks ago that seemed pretty daunting. While I'm strong on the bike, I'm a slow swimmer (and had never attempted a distance anywhere near 2km) and while I've run several half marathons and one full marathon, run speed is definitely not my strong suit!… Continue

What a day !

Today I got up at my usual time of 5:30 am. Got my big girl, fitness trainer pants on and my Manchester Road Race long sleeve tee. Suddenly, all the pre-race jitters hit me pretty hard. For the first time I was doing a race entirely alone.I had resigned myself to the fact that there will be times this will happen. You will have plans (as I did this time) to run with a few friends and for whatever reasons they will be unable to participate. As I moved towards the line up for those who were unseede… Continue

My first 5K

Well...I did it! Yesterday I competed in my first ever run race, a 5K. My goal was to run the whole thing and I did. It was wonderful to see my mom and my daughter at the finish line. My daughter actually wrote me a note to keep with me as I ran...I (heart) 154-->my number. I kept in my left glove, a direct line to my heart. The influence I'm having on her was and is my reason to keep going. She is seeing a strong woman who is setting goals and accomplishing her dreams. What a day...
